The location was marvellous, close to an art gallery. I had the double room which was beautifully maintained and unique. - An UK electrical socket is provided in the room. - Coffee and tea making facilities, flat-screen television, and a study table were also available.

Really nice family hotel in the very heart of Koeln, spotless clearness, convenient location close to all attractions including Dom, Rathaus (just a next building), shopping and restaurant areas, waterfront. Very good choice of natural products for breakfast
There are some rennovation works right away the hotel, so you can hear some noise sometimes, but it is not so boring

The owners and staff were super-friendly and helpful with advice about visiting Cologne and providing maps. The breakfast was ample with a wide variety, and dining area was intimate and comfortable. I loved the art-feature on the back wall of an old map of the city of Cologne from the 1500's. I stayed in a room on the 2nd floor; the bed and comforted and pillows were super-comfortable and the design of the room perfect for spreading clothes and things out with an extra lounge-bench against the wall near the gorgeous, modern bathroom.

The rooms are very nice furnished in a modern and elegant style. They are silent and located in the city centre.
The hotel was under restoration and it was not clarified in the announce. The rooms were very nice but the hall was not fully restored yet. The wifi network was not available. There is not the lift and the stairs are steep.

Its a nice hotel for city trips, its in the middle of the historical area. So location was perfect. The rooms were very clean too.
First I arrived the hotel at 10 o'clock in the evening. There was no person there. It's a quite small hotel, it was dark. I ringed the bell, no one answered. I waited there 2-3 minutes and kept ringing the bell and after that someone answered finally. So they opened the door, there was a letter left for my name.. It's bad because I had questions about my trip, no one was abla to answer. Next morning I had to leave the hotel at 7.15. The breakfast was supposed to start at 7.00, but there was just one guy there, preparing the breakfast. Did not speak German.. So it was very bad, because I wanted to check out, no one there. They start at 08.00!!! Unbelievable.. I was late for my interview! If you are doing a relaxed vacation with no hurry, it may be a good choice for you, but definitely not for business..

we had a such wonderful stay at this small hotel. its location was indeed marvellous and only 5 minutes walk from a historical market square. a shopping area and the christmas market were right next door. the staff was consistently courteous, superfriendly, nothing too much trouble. they provided an amazing and plentiful breakfast with homemade butter and jams, as example.
